UNDER THE AFRICAN GLOBAL SUN

On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met and transferred to the Protea Hotel Wanderers. Here you will spend 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis. In the evening we will have briefing about your tour and time to meet your fellow travellers.

You will have breakfast this morning before being transferred to the Airport for a morning flight to Port Elizabeth. Your driver will be waiting for you to start the drive along the scenic Garden Route with the indigenous Tsitiskamma Forest and several spectacular gorge crossings being highlights of the trip. You will reach the scenically located town of Knysna in the late afternoon and spend 2 nights at the Rex Hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

After a leisurely breakfast you’ll enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve (weather permitting), where you can take a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this charming town set around a natural harbour lagoon.

This morning after breakfast you will enjoy the spectacular Outeniqua Pass en route to Outdtshoorn, the centre of the South African ostrich industry for over a century. You’ll visit an Ostrich Farm for a guide3d tour and light lunch, before taking a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. You will arrive at the Hlangana Lodge in the late afternoon for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Early this morning there is an option to enjoy a Meerkat Safari (subjected to availability – cost not included). After breakfast, the journey continues through the ‘Little Karoo’ to Barrydale, before travelling to Montagu, a picturesque and historic spa town. Continue on to Cape Town, spectacularly set at the foot of Table Mountains. You will be accommodated at the Protea Hotel P{resident for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Today you will enjoy a full day at leisure. Although a small city, Cape Town is packed with sightseeing attractions, excellent bars, cafes and restaurants as well as colourful craft markets. Alternatively relax on one of Cape Town’s many pristine beaches. Enjoy an evening of delicious Cape food.

You will have a chance to ride the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain today (weather dependent), with the rest of the day spent at leisure, or exploring more of The Mother City

After breakfast this morning, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Kruger. The next 3 nights will be at the Kapama River Lodge, a fantastic lodge on a private game reserve bordering Kruger.

Today will be spent on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the big 5, as well as a huge variety of African wildlife.

Today will again be spent on safari, with morning and afternoon game drives.

With an early morning transfer today you will be drive to Nelspruit Airport in time for your flight to Livingstone, in Zambia, the location of the incredible Victoria Falls. This afternoon will be spent visiting the Falls themselves, before enjoying dinner (own expense) at The Avani Victoria Falls Resort (or similar) where you will spend the next 3 nights.

You will be driven across the border today into Botswana, where you will spend the day exploring the Chobe National Park on a game drive and also a game viewing boat cruise.

Today will be free for you to take part in some of the numerous exciting activities available around the Falls, including helicopter flights, canoeing, village visits, white water rafting, walking safaris and more (activities are at own expense). This evening you will be taken on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, as a great farewell experience.

You will have the morning free for one last activity (own expense) before being transferred to Livingstone Airport in time for your departure flight (flight not included).
